The details on the heron's body right away captured my eyes. Sharpness and clarity of the picture is good. Green background also gives good contrast.

looks like the bird is posing for ya. gotta get her good side! the angle of the shot of this elegant bird is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

A long neck indeed, and when the bird is stretching like this, we can see such a fine pattern in the feathers along the neck. The bird is indeed posing for you in a lovely way, and it is standing out from the background in an excellent way.
The photo is pin sharp and it is truly clear and well defined details to be seen in the feathers of the bird. Both the white balance and the exposure is spot on.
The cropping is well done, and the bird has got a fine placement off to the right. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Fred, and with an excellent DOF.

This is very funny. I love the shape of the subject and the patterns of black and white. I think this would be a little better if you strengthened the blur of the background to put more emphasis on the bird itself. Great capture!
