I feel this image could be cropped to make a good image into a great image. I find flowers the least of interest in a lot of photography, but occasionally one comes along that captures the interest and this could well do that with a little cropping and a bit of manipulation for the white flower, as it looks a little dirty white instead of a bright white.

I live for these exquisite Botanical gardens. What a lovely framed and lit waterlily all unfolding and pouring out its beauty onto this reflective, beautiful surface. I find myself really drawn to the light to dark richness and contrasts as well as the appeal of textures and colors in the flower next to the Lilly.

This Lily is gorgeous. Your photo is perfect focused and exposed and has good depth. The soft reflections are intriguing. I enjoy the sharpness of detail and the realism of color and light. The white balance is excellent. The Water Lily is well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

Love your notes and the flower! I have never heard of a flower that acts like this one. One thing for sure this flower definitely wants to make sure it is pollinated! LOL I love the fact it turns purple after pollination. Love the angle of the flower. I think you did a great job capturing the blossom. The lighting is perfect and so is the focus. What attract my eyes is the calmness of this picture. The lily is well captured and its white color depicts a soothing and relaxing vibe in the picture. Also the reflection in water is well captured and angle of the picture is superb.
