WOW! You have really outdone yourself with this wonderful review VO. This is a case where your review is better than the image.
I hadn't thought about it as being dark and mysterious. Now that I look at it I think you are right. This is one of about 35 shots taken as the ship approached, transited and and sailed beyond the setting sun.

Your composition is highly dramatic and mysterious! The sunset light is perfect! And its reflection on the wet sand is miraculous, like flames of fire! The skies with heavy clouds add more drama and action to it. Life like shot! Well done, capitan Steve!

that is a mighty fine picture and lovely colours and texture on the water and the rocks. the fab scene has a delightful old pirate ship and you can just imagine back in those old times seeing a vessel like this would have been truly scary.
