An interesting picture of the Fort Perch Rock Lighthouse standing guard over the Irish Sea & Birkenhead. The setting sun adding a golden glow to the swirling wind blown clouds above the horizon, above the calm sea & green algae covered rockes & sand in the foreground. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Lovely poetic image.
The stately lighthouse seems to be guardian of the landscape not just the sea. Since I grew up in New England I have seen many lighthouses. But, have not seen all 200 that are said to exist!
You captured the peacefulness of this landscape. The golden color highlights the lighthouse as the colors sweep across the sky. Good focus, clarity and placement. Nice details and tone throughout.
Pleasing shot to view.

What a beautiful composition. You get to see a bit of everything. The sky is gorgeous. I have never been to a lighthouse. I would like to visit on day. Is this at high tide or does someone take a boat to the lighthouse? The mixture of greenery, water, and sand adds a lot of interest. Good luck in the contest!

I am very grateful for your very nice review and that big 6! This lighthouse is disused now, but rowing boats would have been used to take men back and forth. This image was taken at low tide.

My hands automatically picked the 6 stars for this picture. I didn't need to think or program much what to do. Its a breath taking view with great depth of field and composition. The cloud, water and the light house just rightly placed and captures. With some green on the beach the picture has every element to blow viewer's mind. Superb!!
