The Cardinal is standing out in this winter tree scene in an excellent way, that bright red color almost glows, I see good detail in the Cardinals face and a nice glint in his eye. He is well placed within the frame , it's a nice side profile pose he has offered you.
This is well focused, this image is clear, exposure is correct, the colors and tones apoear natural in this lighting. Well composed and presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!

The Cardinal looks like a glowing lamp. The bird draws our attention immediately. Your photo is perfect focused and exposed and has good depth. I enjoy the realism of color and light and the refinement of detail. The position of the bird on the bowed branch pleases the eyes of the viewers. The Cardinal is excellent placed within the frame The composition is balanced.
