A very good looking entry into the competition posted here! Your fine and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of that strange, huge sculpture. What is the carnival being celebrated? Nicely done!

Thanks so much for your very kind review! The Carnival celebrates feasting and fun before the fasting of Lent. The sculptures and parties in the streets last for one week then they are lit on fire on the last night one after the other.

This is an interesting shot. This sculpture seems made by a master-artisan. It reminds of painted wood sculptures and the floats used at Carnavals in Latin America. Your photo is perfect focused and exposed and has good depth. I enjoy the sharpness of detail and realism of color and light. The sculpture is excellent placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

Thanks so much for your very kind review! The amazing sculptures are huge and it takes all year to make them. Each area of the city makes their own. There are about a dozen and about a dozen smaller ones representing the children.
