Amazing and wonderful and fabulous â?¤ shot! Looks like a frozen wave! I like a combination of yellowish warm color with cool graish blue. Pink cloud in the right upper corner is a nice touch. Success! Bravo Capitan Steve!

Thank you my friend. I always look forward to your reviews Lucas. Not so much for the ratings (which I truly appreciate) but for your wonderfully artistic commentary. I am becoming more artistic thanks to your reviews.

Are you back in school? What grade are you in? I am asking because I would like you to consider something. Take care Lucas ~ Captain Steve

Steve this is a beautifully captured image. A wave standing tall and proud. Never under estimate the power of water. A great entry for the Outside photo contest.
Excellent textures. Best of luck in the contest. A true contender!

I love this. It is almost like impasto. The highlighted spray had come out really well and the overall effect has impact. The design and presentation are great and show the different levels of colours. The effect is movement and overall a very good image expertly taken. .

Thank you so much Brenda for your review and Grand rating. This was such a unique time as the wind pushed the waves to the wall and then the wave rolled back on itself creating these wonderful splashes. Thank you Brenda ~ Steve

Yes I do believe you've managed to capture this amazing culmination of air and water. Such a wonderful tapestry of nature...even the earth and the light are perfect in the background.
Outstanding color, so artistic by design, and perfectly presented for this contest.
The outside with an excellent display of the four elements.
Wishing you all the best in the contest...This really is an amazing image, and you've shared it so beautifully...
Thank heavens for burst mode! Good Luck!
Marsha

I was going to tell you that you needed to straighten the horizon, but it was already done. LOL You have indeed captured this wave well, and especially like how lovely the light is shining through it, and the golden colors. I also like the color of the sky, and how the distant hill is fading into it.

The wave is standing out sharp and well defined against the calmer water, and it is truly clear and well defined details to be seen. The exposure is spot on.

I also like the format and how well you have used the rule of thirds. This is giving the composition a very good balance. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Steve, and with an excellent DOF.

LOL. Yes thankfully there are people here that help me get things 'straight and level'. Thank you so much Annie for your wonderful review and commentary. I appreciate the details that you point out that I often fail to see. Thank you again Annie ~ Steve

Such an impressive photograph of this big wave showing all the details that we can possibly see in this beautiful photograph.
The landscape in the back and sky are nicely complementing the dramatic action going on upfront.

Perfect timing to capture this upward splash !
It is especially awesome to see how the water is catching the light!
I love the way the background actually fades as if it is purposely allowing this beautiful splash to get all of the attention within this scene.
This is of course, well focused, this image is clear, exposure is correct, the colors and tones appear natural.
This has so much energy , I love it! This is one that immediately makes the viewer say " Wow" scenes like this are my favorite , it is so wonderful to be able to stand on the beach and not only see the power of nature but to feel the power as I view! It's exhilarating! Amazing work Steve ! Best wishes to you in this contest !

Wow. Thank you Pat for your artistic review. Actually I shot a series of these waves. I have posted them on a local Facebook page here in Ajijic, Mexico. I made two series of 5 photos each. The Ex-Pats here really like them. I am posting one new photo a week for them to collect and share with friends. All ten photos turned out pretty cool. That is TMI. Sorry.

Thank you again Pat for your wonderful review and great rating ~ Steve

nothing abstract Steve: just another "out of the box" entry to a contest; I like how you captured the lighting of this water spladh with such sharp details; even if it is not really the horizon, I think the water level should be straighten;
