A beautiful picture of this Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoo perched high in the Casuarina tree it's head turned looking to your left. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting showing off it's beautiful plumage. Taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

The spot on his head makes it look like he has ears. Wild. The clarity is great. The angle of the shot of this unusual bird in the tree is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall.

I have heard of these birds reference in stories but dont recall seeing what they look like.. interesting bird

A reasonable looking image posted here. Your classical composition offers us a good look at the tree branches and leaves but not of the bird. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Nice try though!

Thanks Nik it was taken at 2800mm away so lens pushed to limit but they are so rare to see I still wanted to share :)
