Wonderful close-up of this yellow tailed black cockatoo! Great colors and you were able to capture wonderful details on the Bird and the Pine branch.

I have never seen a black cockatoo, I have only seen the white ones. It is so interesting to see this one and it's awesome to know that it is in the wild! I can't even imagine seeing this bird flying free!
Well placed within the frame, well focused, this image is clear, exposure is correct, I see good detail in its feathers, face and beak, I love that clear eye!
Well composed and presented!

Thanks Pat we also have red tailed Black Cockatoos which are also hard to find but did see some on a long roadtrip (3,000km) from Adelaide to Cooktown

Oh my gosh you nailed it. It is so hard to get a close up of the eyes and have accomplished this. You can literally see the texture of the feathers as well. This has a real "WOW" factor! Great job!

Mary,
A beautiful & interesting portrait of the Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoo perched high in the Casuarina Tree the sunlight sparkling in it's eye. It's head framed by the tree's branches. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
