I find it strange that nobody stopped. Usually photographers draw attention of pedestrians. However, the disinterest of the people was good luck for you. Your close up is perfect focused, exposed and treated with mixed media. I enjoy the realism of color and light. The sharpness of detail and texture is impressive. I see even small grains is dirt at the scales. The reflection in the dark eye is especial interesting. The tight framing is adequate. The close up is excellently composed and framed. The composition ids balanced.

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of your serpent. I thought they were supposed to look evil, but somehow yours looks quite friendly somehow?! Like its shiny eye and scales. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!
