I especially like the close and personal approach, and also how well we can see the blue feathers on the wing. I also think the light is falling so lovely on the duck, and it is standing out from the dark background in an excellent way.

The photo is sharp and it is truly clear and well defined details to be seen in the feathers of the bird. The exposure is perfect.

The tight cropping is working well and the bird is well placed within the frame. A truly lovely and well taken photo Eileen, and with an excellent DOF.
