Mallard ~ Anas platyrhyuchos 2 drakes

That looks like furious fight, with both drakes trying to kill each other, but I guess its all show off for the lady watching from the bank. Your photo is well focused and exposed and has good depth. I see a yellow beak within water drops flying all over. The reflections on the waves emphasize the fight remarkably. The mixed media additions are carefully applied and adequate. The mixed media is swell composed and framed.

A reasonably good looking image posted here! Your classical composition offers us a fair look at the action going on out there. Which one won the fair lady? Nicely taken!

Wow, such a contrasting photograph of these two fighting in the water! Your pictures are usually very peaceful but this one is definitely an action photograph; great details and good timing to capture this image; thank you for sharing Susan.

    Jirina,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this pair of Mallard drakes busy battling in the river it went on for almost ten minutes before peace was restored & they swam off. The Drake on the left swam off with the Dick that had been watching them from the side lines.

cool pic! They're going at it! I have seen ducks fight before, and they get aggressive! Good job getting a picture of this fight in action. I can see one ducks wing up...makes me laugh! There are water droplets everywhere which really shows that they're fighting! great job getting this picture!

Thanks a million for your complementary review on these two battling Mallard Drakes over just one Duck... There are four drakes to the single Duck! She went off with the Drake on the left with his wing up.

Good stop action to show this mallard attempting to defend his lady against the other mallard that he sees as competition.
I like the way you froze the splashes and droplets of water, I like the open bill on that mallard too.
Well composed and presented! It's so much fun to watch the activities of the ducks on the water!

Hey just like us humans..lol. good capture. The clarity is great. The angle of the shot of these birds fighting in the water is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

Thanks a million for your complementary review on these battling Mallard drakes over a duck who swam peacefully along the river bank occasionally looking back at them.
