Congratulations, friend, on your win. You caught the dilapidated barn so well and the front tree looks so realistic. A really good job in watercolors. Love the horizon with the light blues and the sky with an ever lighter blue. It gives the looks of distance with the green bushes next to the blue mountains and then the sky, each becoming lighter. Wonderful job.

A wonderful painting of this old barn surrounded by pretty scenery! I like your use of bold colors and the layers of interest with fields, bushes, trees and mountains. Well composed and balanced. Good work and best wishes for the upcoming contest!

Very well rendered watercolor painting of the old barn that looks like it s about to collapse.
The tree in right foreground is well placed and gives nice depth to your scene, I like the placement of the barn and the wooden fence around it, the trees to the left of the scene are well created and I like their location in the scene, it looks like mountains in the background under the blue sky with some white cloud detail giving it such a realistic look.
This is well created , arranged and presented. Best wishes to you in this contest!

Wonderful painting of this old barn that was probably at one time very well taken care of. Nice details, great cheerful spring colors and the composition are creating very pleasing presentation.

This is very well done, love the trees and the grass, I find it hard to paint in water colours, you did a great job here, guess the owners dont have any more use for this building,

Thank you Lisa, I appreciate your support in reviewing. My comfort zone was acrylics, I found water colours difficult and even now I don't use them lightly and wet and running as a lot do. They are worth persevering with. This last year being stuck in, I took to watching tutorials on You Tube, also EE (empty easel) which I subscribed to .. it has lots of tips and tutorials many free on all mediums. Oils was another I was uneasy with but now they are challenges and I am using all including graphite.

Yes, me too with the lock down have been watching and learning on utube, my mom was a really good artist and so I inherited a lot of her art supplies, I recently just finished a farm scene with water colours and it turned out great, I am waiting to have a place to show it here on far, I still prefer acrylics though, so easy to clean lol

This is an intriguing landscape. Although, the buildings are dilapidated, the they look still attractive. I like the touch of impressionism in your brush strokes. How you use the light gives the feel of a summer day. The big tree in the foreground seems to bloom. The contradiction with the green grass at the farmland and the mountains in the background is interesting. The painting is well composed and framed. The composition is balanced.
