Points or no points, member cents or not, I had to let you know this is awesome! There are hundreds of raccoons around where I live but catching one on camera in daylight is nearly impossible. Fantastic shot and so much fun too. Would make for a great poster!

This raccoon looks ever so sweet, and I really like the way it is looking at you when this photo was taken. I also like the way the thick branches are working as a nice and natural framing. The raccoon is standing out from the nicely softened background in an excellent way.
The photo is nice and sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in ever part of the animal. It is also fine textures to be seen in the fur, and the exposure is perfect.
The format and framing is working well, and the raccoon has got a fine placement within the frame. A truly lovely and well taken photo Kristi, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

the colors and sharpness are perfect and your DOF is also excellent on this piece.
I would have cut a little bit off of the right side where the blur is.. my eyes tend to go over that way :)

Look at that little cutie in the tree. Racoon is in clear focus, it's ears look so petable. And the clarity of the trees bark is nice. I like the positioning of the racoon in relation to the tree and the frame.
