This is indeed a beautiful tulip, and with great looking pointed petals and lovely red-purple colors. The light is falling on the flower in a lovely way, and it is also standing out from the softened background in an excellent way.
The focus is spot on and sharp, and it is clear and well defined details to be seen in the petals of the tulip. The exposure is perfect.
The cropping has worked well, and the tulip has got such a fine placement within the frame. A truly lovely and well taken flower photo Fred, and with an excellent DOF.

The bird is interesting and I realllyyyyyyyyyyy like the tail. It looks like a plant. AND it was done in a ballpoint pen, so, job well done. The wings and face are good too.
