The Grey Heron is always a lovely subject for your camera and you have once again managed to time it perfectly with the very small fish. Color is very natural and the reflection is nice.

They can just gulp down these little ones. When the get a large fish they often will have to take it up on shore and batter it for a while before they can swallow it.

You have pictured this lovely heron so well, and I especially like the fine reflection from it you have captured in the shiny water. The water plants offers a fine background, and the bird is standing out from it in an excellent way.
The photo is very sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in the feathers of the bird. The exposure is perfect.
The photo is also nicely cropped, and the bird has got a fine placement within the frame. It is a lovely and well taken photo Fred, and with an excellent DOF.

that cheap human threw me this lil fish after all the posing i did!! i swear!! lololol..i dont know it just came to me as soon as i saw this..lol. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. the angle of the shot of this bird with his small salary in the water is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

It's reflection along with the rushes growing on the bank are an added bonus. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
