This art work is really interesting. Oh the first glance I thought it was a painting/sketch filter on top of a regular photo. Which this was. It made me quite disappointed.

This is not a paint filter an top of a regular photo.
It is a painting, painted brush stroke for brush stroke in about 40 hours.

What is clear tho, is the contrast of the process you did, which is technological, with the subject matter- a girl from the Mayan race- which we know is a very old civilization.
