Thanks so very much. It was located in a space between two headstones with two different family names on them. I am guessing it is not in it's original place.

Thanks so much, those chiggers were not near as bad as the fire ants I just stepped in last night while attempting a shot of the moon on the horizon, YIKES!

Many thanks! It caught my eye as I drove past because it was not very close to any particular grave or headstone. I am guessing it is not in it's original location. No telling how long it's been there.

I really like the mixed media applications you have used to process this photo. The alterations have brought out the beauty of this statue so very well! The dark vignette gives this an antique look while the color alterations give the perfect feel of old. Great details and wonderful job in setting the mood! Well done!

Much appreciated. On a side note, the nearest grave was nearly 10 feet away. She was standing about halfway between two tombstones with different names on them. I am not sure if she is even in the place she was originally meant to be.

Thin i would have either gone for sepia or b/w in this but still like it and so like the comments about laying in the grass to take it rather than point and shoot which would have you looking down on it,that would not have worked so well,wish more people on here would learn from this,its how you grow in photography...Brian
