These catfish are a hardy lot with stiff dorsal and ventral spines that are hard to swallow. I have seen herons take them on the shore and batter them against a rock until they are dead and their spines no longer stand out stiff. A fine shot with great colors and excellent detail.

A beautiful picture of the Grey Heron with a fish clasped chin up in it's long dagger like beak as it prepares to get it into position head down, ready tp swallow. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
