Hi Nancy! I love this shade of purple with the turquoise background. It's very complimentary. The butterflies are a nice touch.
What program do you use to do your digital work?
I recently got an iPad pro but an still learning digital art. Can't wait to master it!

Hi Jewel, I tend to get confused on what's digital and what's not. Most likely digital are the extra touches you add.This is a Mixed Media Piece. The Orchids are real. I cut and pasted them out from the original background, then cut out butterfly wings, a body and antennae for the body. I used some filters from Topaz Studio2. some Fractalius filters and Microsoft Digital Image 10 for most of the work. I have that photo program for about 16 years. I go with the flow so much of the time that sometimes I can't remember everything I use. Thanks my friend for the great review! :o) Nancy

These are a nice bright colour! The pattern really gives them texture makes them unique. Reminds me of a 3d model image. The butterflies fill in your composition, but I'm not sure about the placement of the flowers so close together, the patterns seem to merge making them look squished in. But over all a nice piece thanks for sharing

Your mixed media is appealing. Those orchids seem to have faces. I see slanted purple eyes, with white pupils, beside the snout of a piglet, at center of the blossoms. The butterfly companions are lovely. The mixed media is well composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

Hi Ed, Thank you for the SUPER extraordinary review! I am incredibly honored by it. My best advice for learning is trying out the different tools that come with your art or photography program. I just started playing with everything to see what it did. I'm still experimenting! You can learn a lot by doing that! Hope that helps some! :o) Nancy

I have seen the Vanda Orchids before, they are indeed beautiful.
I love the way you have placed them against this pretty shade of blue , the butterflies are so well created and I love the way they match the orchids. This would be perfect to print large and hang in a girls bedroom!

Hi Pat, This was my first time coming across these lovely orchids. I couldn't pass up a moment to capture such a pretty flower! I thought the butterflies would be a nice touch so I created them from the orchid petals. I'm glad you enjoyed! Thanks for the great review! :o) Nancy

WOW! Not only did you agree to a "Dust Bunny" image for me but also gave my orchids an incredible rating. I don't know how things could get any better than that!!!! I sent you back an email with a description of the characters. I also went over the poem again and made some slight changes....Sorry about that! I can't wait to see what you do!!!
