This is real art. It has su h impact. It is not cute, it is not photorealistic both of which this site and reviewers seem to favour. I just love this, your colours and application are superb. It comes from your memories, it's not copied. It's freedom. Well done.

A very attractive looking scene. I like that lighthouse perched high on the bluff and the violence of the breaking waves. Nicely composed with great colors.

I am glad I am not the judge in a beauty contest like this, because both the sky and the sea are lovely in their own way. Together they are just magic. I think the sunset sky is especially lovely in this painting, but you have also painted the rough sea really well. A bit of landscape with a light house adds interest, and is also working as a nice framing.
It is easy to see that this is painted paying a very good attention to details, and with a good use of high lights. Your color pallet is just great.
The format and framing is perfect, and with the light house placed to the left, it is a very good balance in the composition. I think this is a truly lovely and well done painting Jewell.

beautiful painting. nice compositions, solid contrast, tones and textures. the foreground alone is great, the waves, rocky side cliff, the trees and shrubs, and of course the lighthouse. The cloud thou that' s the big eye grabber. (at least for me). The colors and the cloud formations wonderful. Awesome job

The details in the fence and lighthouse add to the impact of this piece. It reminds me of Anne of Green Gables (Canadian children's story takes place on coast in PEI). Its so full of hope and promise, in its story telling aspect. Loving your clouds, great depth and colours with the sun coming through. Your waves reflect the light so nicely. Well done!
