DOF of the dale takes your breath away .From entry of little green mound to some twiggy trees .through the valley and up the many hills .40 shades of green and some earth tones beautiful ..What I like most is its very natural & feel like you could almost touch the blue grey cloud filled sky . Classic photo of England's higher grounds. When I came to England, at about 9 yrs old, I found a few pictures of my mum's exactly like this, of England. We lived in Scunthorpe /no complaints/ at the poorest end under the pepper pots, she maybe kept them to remind herself what else t here was here. I still have them.

at my grandfather's tailoring establishment, /he and his 9 to 15 staff, sewed crombies and hand stitched suits for the rich jewellers in our area, we had a wool merchant who came once a year to sell english woollens from Halifax. I think eventually coming to England was tied up with his stories she heard from him of what England was like, when she was a girl. It is a very different place /now??/

I love the sky in this photo. Especially where the sky meets the horizon. There is a lot of green and not a particular focal point, but that doesn't mess with the shot. The DOF is clear throughout the photo.

Just such an incredible view!! Love those light green hues which are so soft and soothing to the eye!! I also find the clouds amazingly clustered in the skies adding a dramatic contrast!! Thanks for sharing this beautiful artwork

im assuming a Dale is British version of open field right? many areas have their own terminology. nice capture. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this hilly field with cloudy sky is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.
