Beautiful colors. So symbolic. The sheer drapes are just beautiful. You have created both realism and a little fantasy moon. Love the background too, as it is lightened. A good story seems to be unfolding here. You deserve a "6".

I enjoy looking at this painting. I'm not sure what your story is but to me it looks like a young girl looking longingly out the window at night at the lot up town. . She sees the beautiful moon. I can't tell all the details for when I enlarge it, it becomes blurry. Am I missing something?

A good painting tells its own story. For me if the onlooker comes up with a story, that's good enough.

This is a great entry for the contest. It certainly tells a story we all can relate to. The clock shows the time when we ordinarily would be sound asleep. The pose of the girl says it all as she fights all the thoughts in her head keeping her awake. Best of fortune in the contest.

that is one of the reasons i dont enter the blind contest..my signature on my work is a copywrite also i post at many sites and i wont put anything out there without my signature on it. there are those out there will try to steal and claim the work. i know i caught a couple at different sites and had them squashed once i pointed it out and show proof to the admin of the violation. this is soooooo cool. the body form and language is great. the depth is great. the details is great. the shading is great. the blend of the colors is great. the creation is balanced and very eye appealing to the viewer. creative and awesome work overall.

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of the problem being experienced by that young woman. Curtains! They are certainly not thick enough to keep those bright night lights out of her bedroom. They also seem to be badly positioned. Well painted and good luck!

Could be a few things, the moon is full and the curtains light, may be it kept her awake, there are candles is it before electricity or is it to give reverence. The view sees a church and a hill with lights on the horizon that suggest a town. The lady is kneeling on a double bed.. alone.. there are two pillows.. ? and seems to be searching through The window.. or is she crying? Whatever the story it does speak to you in that way. The artwork is beautifully done. It is all in proportion and the colour pallet is perfect.
