This painting in acrylic is simply beautiful. I especially like the realistic waves and the colors therein. The purples in the background are gorgeous, so is the lighthouse.

Thanks so very much! The night I painted this, There was a powerful hurricane in progress just south of us. The sky took on many forms before I was finished. The following day I saw a similar photograph of the skies on the news. Really surprised me!

wow what a beautiful and nicely done painting the depth and detail work is nicely donecolors of the ocean blended well and the sky is very cool .....a lot of work was done here and it shows......great view and great story....thanks for sharing

Wow. Such a dramatic scene with the crashing waves and ship being tossed about. The drama of the sky overarched the lighthouse and the rocky shore. Certainly worth of six stars. Beautiful work Jewell ~ Steve

Deserves a six star rating but I am now short on them!! I just love the magic of colours you painted in this magnificent painting. Plain gorgeous creation!! The turbulence of stormy sea is so beautifully crafted!! I love that calming presence of lighthouse standing as a reassurance to the calamitous situation depicted!! Kudos and a standing applause

I also like how the ship is subordinate to everything else in this painting. It is a very good statement of fragility in this environment. And to be a four by six foot painting adds an immense emotional punch for the viewer, especially with no shoreline as it draw the viewer into the painting. Thrilling. Reasons for my five star vote.
