Your close-up of the Rattlesnake is striking. Although, the reptile is dangerous, it is also beautiful. Your photo has good depth, and is perfect focused, exposed and treated with mixed media. I am impressed by the sharpness of detail and textures, and the realism of light and color. The tight framing is sufficient. The snake is excellent placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

We have some of these and their bite can be quite harsh, they grow big too, love the black on this one which can make them hard to see, love the focus and we see all her scales on the skin, really nice photo

What a stunning capture of the water snake you caught, along with some colored leaves. Good, it was not poisonous. It isn't, is it? You especially got close to the serpent itself.

Snakes invoke fear. This is a water snake and most water snakes are harmless- I hope even this is without those poisonous fangs. The composition of the click is superb and I love those interesting scales. Best wishes for the contest
