a wonderful close up Pat of this American red squirrel eating a peanut;
I love squirrels, they are always very funny whatever they are doing; unfortunately, there are very few in our area;

These little red squirrels chase the much larger gray squirrels all over my yard. They are surprisingly aggressive. A fine shot with great colors and beautiful details.

    Thanks so much Mike! Yes, they are aggressive ! This is the only type of squirrel we have here, but they will go after the birds!

Great shot of this little guy. Your focus is so clear, lots of details to see. They are cute but they sure can chatter when they're unhappy lol. Great composition, love the blurred green background. Thanks so much for sharing

Pat,
A beautiful stop action picture of the American Red Squirrel busy turning the Peanut shell over & over in order to break it open fragments lying at it's feet, it's tail curved up along it's back. The light sparkling in it's eye. As it stands out clearly from the soft blurred green of the background. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

It looks brown to me in your lovely nature image posted here with fascinating notes! Your fine and classical composition offers us a good view of the manipulations involved. Like the fur detail and the shiny eye. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Nicely done!

Animals are so very entertaining and you have captured this cute, red squirrel having a happy moment, eating his yummy peanut. He was in squirrel Heaven!
They truly can be entertaining as well as the biggest pests when you don't want 'em around.
Well focused enough that the softness of his fur is inviting for a petting. Impossible, I know. Haha The green is a nice backdrop too!
