Great photo and congrat on the 3rd in contest. Haven't seen one before but your photo gives us a very clear view of the insect. Coloring and pattern are interesting. Nicely focused.

cat was looking just a snack or something to play with..ui bet you cat was mad when you took it..lol. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this critter is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

I guess you rescued this insect just in time. Apparently, the bug lost a leg, but is not harmed otherwise. A tough guy indeed. Its markings, and especially its big eyes are impressive. Your photo is perfect focused and exposed and has good depth. I appreciate the sharpness of detail and the realism of light and color. The tight framing is adequate. The bug is perfect placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

What beautiful work and close-up details of the locust. He is completely pretty. Also the foundation he is on looks almost like marble, the gray part that is. Wonderful job!
