I know you already won the contest with this Fabulous photo. And a six really does not count, but I think this is an image that is all of that and more.
What an eye capturing image with perfect pastel colors and just the right clarity, positioning and emphasizing background.

Your capture is extraordinary. This Rose is immaculate. The shades of pink and yellow at the petals are fascinating. Your photo is perfect focused and exposed and has good depth. The dark background emphasizes the flower excellently. The Rose is excellent placed within the square frame. The composition is balanced.

A beautiful rose just at its peak. I like this composition that leaves a little room for the leaves. The rose is shown in fine detail and its beautiful colors seem to glow from within. Best of luck in the contest.

This is a truly beautiful Rose, and the light is falling on it in such a lovely way. I especially like the dark background, and the almost blue leaves, and the rose is standing out from it in an excellent way.
The photo is sharp, and at the same time the rose has a lovely dreamy softness to it. It is clear details to be seen in every petal. The exposure is spot on.
The format you have cropped the photo into is working well, and the rose has got a fine placement within the frame. I think this is a truly beautiful and well taken photo Allan, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.
