I don't know why this makes me think Dick Tracy..maybe his shadow would be Tick Dracy...I like the playbills feel..I think maybe I am dating myself. And you may be missing a HA! No worries..Track Dicy is on the scene. Yes All the technical stuff is up to snuff RealSharp(ie)

maybe because both Dick Tracy and the Shadow were both created in the 1930's. they were both popular on the radio. so i can see why you would think of it. wink. thanks for the great review.

Boy, that takes me back! We listened to "The Shadow Knows" when I was young and we didn't have TV..never did. I love your representation of the Shadow..since he was only on radio no one knew what he looked like. But now we do!

well that is not true..many books and posters to advertise the shadow they would show this big nose over scarf with piercing eyes with scarf over mouth. he would be wearing a large brim hat and coat..it does help on the visual. i wasnt allow to see tv after 8pm during school night. lil did my parents know they were airing radio hour on AM radio. AM radio waves will bounce off of our planets atmosphere at night. so i would listen to these programs like "the shadow" "the lone ranger" and "CBS mystery hour" on WBBM Chicago..what was cool about that i was 600 miles away down in Mississippi. when my folks thought i was asleep lil did they realize i had the radio under my pillow so only i can hear it. later in the 1994 they did movie..it did well..im surprised you didnt see it. thanks for the great review.

Thanks for letting me know. We didn't take newspapers either..I led a very sheltered life! We listened at night.

Love it..... Looks like a cover to a graphic novel. The contrast and highlights are right on. The face pops out at you (especially the nose). The texture and dot shading is awesome. Great job.

Top marks for this... knowing your art materials I stand in awe of the tricky shading you have achieved. Definitely a master of pens. Your print is printer perfect. The idea is creative it is a poster style and you know I love to do posters. This must be a winner.

A perfect entry for the contest. I Those piercing eyes immediately catch the attention.
The dolors are perfect for The Shadow.
I can remember watching episodes of this great series. I may have to go on to Youtube and watch some again.

thanks Top for the awesome review. also congrats the diamond award..that something the committee made it clear to me stop applying. i reckon they dont like cartoons..so after 3 times in 10 years i gave up on that one...glad to see a fellow red leg earn it..wink..lolol.

One of my favourite radio shows!! I didn't;t grow up with radio shows, but when I learned of this one, I never looked back. The entire series is in a box of cassettes in my closet. Now I have to get them back out again! Perfect drawing!

back in the 60's and early 70's many AM radio stations would broadcast it at night. the am radio waves bounces off of our atmosphere so i can listen to WLS chicago from the middle of nowehere Mississippi. when my folks thought i was in bed i had the pillow over the radio and my head on the pillow to hear the radio. i would listen to "the shadow" "lone ranger" and "CBS radio mystery hour"..when you close your eyes and listen you mind can create the movie for ya..wink. thanks Bill for the awesome review.
