You learn something new every day on this site. I never knew that the lovely coypu were arborial. I think I recognize this branch. It seems to be a favorite of the cormorants.

Fred,
A beautiful picture of the Preening Cormorant perched on the curved branch high in the tree above you, busy preening it's breast so it appears to have lost it's head? The blue sky providing the perfect back drop. Beautiful composition, framing & beautiful natural lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Amazing how you do that, indeed, headless in appearance. Like the whiteness on the perch and all of the color. The blue sky is so pure, perfect--commercial.

A good looking nature image posted here! Your fine and classical composition offers us an amusing view of that bird up there and its location. Colours, textures and tones are good. Nicely done!

Haha, nice title and excellet capture as the form of this tree section in suchan unusual form and the bird has chosen the top place, so your shot isspecial even when the head is not visible
againa nice frame, angle and position, clear and sharp in details, excellent contrast and lighting with the natural fantastic heavenly colors without any further color to let the bird stand out in perfection - well seen and well presented, xoxo
