Beautiful bird and fine capture Susan. Never saw this bird other than in photos. Nice that you found it on a rock in the water posing perfectly for you.
Nicely done :)

    Sandra,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this Grey Wagtail on a rock in the shallows below the Dodder Weir. They are seen flying up & down the river most days. It's great when they stop long enough to get a few pictures.

Nice capture here Susan. It is unique to see a bird perched in rushing water. The yellow makes him stand out nicely. The reflected light off the water really adds depth and character to the image. A real pleasure to view, thanks for sharing

Hi Susan,
Lovely photograph of this bird with beautiful colors and so nicely presented sitting on the rock that just got washed by the water.
The colors, details and overall pleasing presentation.
Thank you for sharing.

What a beautiful bird, love the eye ring and touches of soft yellow. What a lovely find as it stands out so nicely against the water, making for a standout photo. Beautiful framing, too! How big are they compared to your robins?

    Lee Anne,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this tiny Grey Wagtail they are just a little smaller & slimmer than our European Robin. They flit quickly from place to place flicking their long tail at the sametime, both these actions make getting a clear picture difficult. You focus on the bird & before you click it's moved & you get a great picture of the spot where it was. Thanks too for your most welcome Six star rating.

Lovel the bird and unique waves, especially the white, gray-like in them. Love the yellow in the bird and the way you focus on the bird is really good. Again, the frame you usually add is nice, adds to the photography.

What a beautiful bird! I don't believe I've ever seen one of these. The focus of your image is very clear giving details to its wonderful plumage. The bird is set apart on the dark rocks. The shot is nicely composed. Great capture! Thanks for sharing!

A good looking nature image posted here! Your fine and classical composition offers us a dramatic and enjoyable view of it on a rock river. Colours and tones are good. Well done and good luck!

You captured the beautiful bird well. I guess the bird is having a meal, drinking and snapping insects. Your photo is well focused and exposed and has good depth. I enjoy the realism of color and light and the refinement of detail. The scenery is interesting. The wet stones and dark water emphasize the bird nicely. The placement of the bird within the frame is excellent. The composition is balanced.
