It is a truly beautiful scene you have pictured here Steve, and I especially like the low perspective showing the shimmer in the water and details of a rocky bottom. The calmness of the foreground is such a great contrast to the wavy sea in the background.
The photo is nice and sharp showing truly clear and well defined details in the rocks, and also the textures of them are well brought out. The colors look nice and natural, and the exposure is perfect.
The photo is nicely cropped, and it is a very good balance in the composition. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

nice rich capture Top. is this the kiddy pool? lol. the clarity is excellent. the angle of the shot of this shallow area, rocks, ocean and rich skyview is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

Wowww!! Nothing to beat the spectacles that nature provides. You come up with such a wonderful composition and it makes for such a lovely viewing!! I love the gentle shallow waters against the bed of boulders. Blue skies give such an uplifting feel. Best wishes for the contest

Many years ago I got a helicopter flight out of Hilo to see an eruption; it was a memorable occasion.

Thanks Mike. The volcano is erupting now. Kind of hazy due to ash in the air. Will go back up there later this week.
