Wow and yes these positions are mostly seen in a Zoo as the animals are not free looking at the human beings, and you really created a special picture about this situation
great detail work, good use of space as we can see this face in outstanding details and his/her feelings are streaming out to me - as I can feel all the thoughts of any animals -great color choice and application - a special presentation, well done

Interesting and well done in a unique style of features and eyes. Different. Good strokes and wonderful expositon and his forehead and gaze. He truly coordinated with you description. The upper face and eyes with that area do have it.

I really like your notes Brenda, because this is probably the way the chimps are thinking, and according to your drawing, smiling about it. What I like the best is how well you have made the very expressive eyes, and also the limited color pallet.
You have used both the graphite and color pencils so well, and you have brought out such fine textures. Fine distinctions between like and dark as well.
The format and tight framing is working well, and it is a fine balance in the composition. The photo you have taken of your drawing is probably a bit soft, but this is after all an art contest, and I think you have done well. I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you very much for your insightful review. Very much appreciated. I have since sharpened the photo but a lot of blending meant a soft look. I think it now looks a little sharper.
