I really like the way Vader are framed by all the golden flowers. I actually have a bundle of them in my garden. Especially the shiny eyes and the wet nose are well captured, and the buck is also standing out from the background in an excellent way.
The photo is just pin sharp, and it is truly clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the buck. Fine textures are brought out in the fur as well, and the exposure is spot on.
The format and framing is perfect, and the buck has got such a fine placement within the frame. I think this is a truly beautiful and well taken portrait, and I wish you luck with the contest.

The buck is beautiful. He looks like a prince of the country between the Goldenrod's. He seems surprised by something. I like his expression. Your photo has good depth and is perfect focused, exposed and treated with mixed media. I enjoy the realism of color and light and the sharpness of detail. The buck is well placed within the frame. What a fine capture of a buck so strong and possessing even a look in his eyes of strength. Love his ears, the goldenrod, including the piece on his beck. Amazing that it was already on his neck. Fine looking buck in a lovely surrounding.
