This is indeed a different photo, and it is amazing the way the people are emerging from the mist. I think this photo has a strong visual impact Chuck, and it almost look unreal with the contrast between the misty area and the clear background.
The people in the mist are of course not sharp for obvious reasons, but the photo is, and the exposure is very good.
I also like the way you have cropped the photo, and the placement of the people within the frame. This is indeed a great looking and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.
