The position and colors are great. The bokeh in the background really focuses attention on the flower. Might I suggest to have the green "stem ?" cropped out of the image? It makes me constantly look to it.

A beautiful picture of this scarlet Oriental Poppy it's crushed silk petals catching the sunlight falling on them as the Poppy glows out from the blurred background. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

This poppy is beautiful. The orange of the petals draws the attention of the viewers immediately. Your photo is well focused and exposed and has good depth. The bokeh at the shallow background is unobtrusive. The Poppy is excellent placed within the square frame. The composition is balanced.
