This Pumpkin looks indeed evil. He seem to have the fires of hell inside. Flames glowing in its eyes and nose. The flame escaping from its mouth threatens the ghost and the poor bats. He crunches already one of them between his sharp teeth. Your mixed media is expertly composed. The colors attractive. The dark background emphasizes the pumpkin and its victims remarkably. The still life is perfect composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

Hi Cleo, I don't know where this idea came from, but as soon as I saw this metal pumpkin I knew I was going to create a Halloween image with him. I gave him new teeth ,glowing eyes. nose and that fiery tongue. You already know how honored I am when you grace me with a six Thank you SOOOO MUCH Cleo!!!!! :o) :o) :o) Nancy

I know Halloween is meant to be scary, but I think your pumpkin bat snatcher is rather cute, even with sharp teeth and the long red tongue. I especially like the red glow you have added to its eyes, and also the ghost on the left.
The all black background is perfect for both the pumpkin and ghost to stand out in the excellent way. I also like a lot the limited color pallet where the yellow leaves offer a nice contrast to the orange pumpkin.
The photo is sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in the pumpkin, and the exposure is spot on.
It is nothing wrong with the composition either. The format and framing is perfect, and with the pumpkin off to the right, it is a very good balance in the composition. I think this is a great looking and well done mixed media Nancy, and I wish you luck with the contest.

At first I thought I'd just put an ordinary glow in the eyes, but since he was suppose to be an evil pumpkin (though that didn't work for you...LOL) I curled the glow.
