Your photo along with your story needs a six star rating. What a wonderful story, and how happy the bird is staying still allowing you to take a great picture. Thank you for sharing your story and your photo with us

What a wonderful story and great photograph of the Jay that indeed looks healthy and giving you nice thank you look.
The colors on his feathers, details and overall presentation is beautiful.
Great diffused background is complementing the whole image.

Poor bird, you remind me of my sister who this spring found a bird on the road on one of hottest days this summer, she brought it home, it had been hit by a car as it had a broken toe on one foot and a bleeding beak, she was able to give it water and kept it in a box for a day, then she put it outside and it walked in her yard for days eating bugs and getting stronger, after about 3 weeks it started to fly up in trees and all around but it always came back to her back yard, I love the colour of this one, wonder why is was so weak?

An excellent picture and amazing story of your rescue of this bird! The colors are well captured and your focus is beautifully done. The soft background is appealing and gives this Jay wonderful highlight. A well done, all around nature shot and story!

A wonderful story, and huge result as yes he looks very happy, and he knew that you were the only one who would be able to save him, because all animals can see our energies knowing if we would help or destroy them.
Great picture, to keep a wonderful memory of this nice bird - excellent close up and sharpness, so we can admire this healing bird in all details. Congratulations for helping and saving him/her - congratulation

pat,
A beautiful picture of this very beautiful Stella Jay perched on the railing on your deck. The sunlight catching the sparkle in it's eye & the blue iridescence of his plumage, standing out from the soft blurred green background. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
