This photo is breathtaking. The sight of the bear moving through the foaming and swirling water is fascinating. The stop-in-action is perfect. It looks as if the fish is a big trout. Your photo is perfect focused and exposed and has good depth. I enjoy the sharpness of detail and textures and the realism of color and light. The bear is well placed within the frame. The photo is excellent composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

Outstanding capture Donna!
The stop action is incredible along with the sharp focus showing crisp details right down to the blood from the fish.
As sad as I am for the fish i must push that out of mind knowing full well this is nature.
What a dream come true to see bear this close up doing their thing.
Beautiful work behind your lens.

Thanks so much Sandra. I'm so glad you noticed the blood streaming from the fish. I hear what you say about the fish but...that is the circle of life in its purest form. thanks again for the review and the generous 6 star rating. :)

This is my most feared part of living in Alaska, the brown bear is well captured with good stop action, well placed within the frame , I like the fish in the mouth as he moves up to the left. I can see the blood squirting from the fish.
Well composed and presented!

Another fantastic shot from your Brooks Falls trip. A fine exposure with beautiful color in the bear and also his salmon. The composition is beautiful and that white water is nicely exposed.
