With my objective technical eye I see an excellent example of how to expertly apply the rule of thirds to convey depth, distance, size comparison and scene balance. With my subjective artistic eye I see a visual flight path leading me from the relative safety of an evergreen forest across the valleys and hills to stand in awe of the palpable stillness that surrounds this enigmatic scene.
I am grateful that you did not drown this image with Photoshop. This shot is well framed and the leading line into the scene is magnificent - well done. Due to the haze fine middle third details are reduced. In this shot it doesn't matter since the middle frames job is lead the viewers eye. White Balance is spot on - no blown snow fields. The color palette adequately conveys the coolness of the shot.
If you have a RAW file of this photo try this. Convert the RAW file to B&W and go 'Ansel Adams', you might see something you like. Seriously, B&W can sometimes lessen the effects of haze by shortening the contrast scale. At the same time detail improves.
This is one I'd put on my wall ... Bob P. B-))

I love this view of Mt. Shasta. So beautiful and majestic looking. It seems to rise out of the background. The colors and focus are perfect and natural . Great pic!

Thank you so much. I was on a long trip, but am back. Catching up on things at home. I started in 2014 but had to take a hiatus due to some family issues, but came back this year. Thanks for asking.

Beautiful, all that blue with the white peak at the center of everything, the green forest at the bottom is cool and grounds the whole photo, very nice view, perfect photo in every way

You are so blessed to have scenery like this to capture, the peak looks like it's actually floating in the sky. Brilliant focus and depth of field throughout, well done

This a very harmonious photograph; the lines work very well together. I love the gentle wave of the land in the forefront leading the viewer to the sharper peaks in the background. I'm not sure I like the trees at the bottom of the picture though, I think it would have been a cleaner look without them. Overall a very nice shot. Good luck!

A beautiful unusual picture from Mount Shasta as it is from a great distance. I was on mount Shasta at the very top of the yearly covered snow and I had excellent experiences there, it is a holy place and your shot is so beautiful reminding me of my own visit
Super frame choice, harmonious combination, excellent distance and position
A very great presentation, thanks for sharing

Beautiful image posted into the contest here! Your composition is nicely balanced from this vantage point. The closer peaks frame the larger snowcapped mountain range in the back. The trees are a beautiful colour green and they add nice contest to the grand size of the mountians. Very well captured, all the best to you in the contest, thanks for sharing

Such a beautiful landscape with such a grand view of the snow capped volcanic peak and a serene feel. The blue hues dominate in the composition. It's such a wonderful viewing experience. Best wishes for the contest

The photography is skilled with several items. The nice sky, the snow or lava-covered distant mountain top or peak and those in the back- and middle grounds are nice. The foreground of green is fairly nice too.
