Nice shot, good presentation of the deer . I like the light and tones. Maybe if you can hide a bit the background by trying to blur it a bit then the eyes will not be very much distracted from the point of interest here, the deer.

Nice looking image posted here!! This would have been a nice entry for the wildlife contest. Your exposure is a little dark, with the shadowing on this beautiful deer's face and the focus is a little soft. The composition is well chosen, and the deer is nicely placed within the frame. The colours are beautiful. Thanks for sharing

She is n such an alert pose , her ears are up and listening for any sound that tells her there is danger. She is well placed within the frame with the wooded background.

What a very nice capture of this deer there Jack. I know everything you say as a victim of hitting a deer once when I lived on the Isle of Mull. The image is well framed with nice colours but just a tad soft in focus for my liking but nevertheless a nice nature shot. Well done

I love spotted deer and black bucks in the deer family. Deers have an innocent charm of their own. Yes, they do have a tendency to venture out of their woodland habitats and it can trigger collisions with human vehicles. You clicked this deer against such a luxurious wild background. Coloration both near and far are sharp and accurate. The Deer's details are sharp. Nice central positioning yields high initial impact.
