I;m not all that 'skilled' at offering other Artist's "helpful critiques",Jewell,as all artists have their unique individual styles and 'who the f---' am I to go off telling someone else what I perceive is wrong or right with the things they create?
As to this presentation of your's? I like it!
To be honest I'm not 'wild' about Eagle Imagery ( it seems to be an very 'overdone' subject! Why not paint a Pteranodon or a Quetzlcoatalus? : ) ) but the sky grabs my attention right away! It has a Mysterious and Eerie kind of look that I feel is very attractive!

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable sea action view. Like the eagle body shape and wings, plus those beautiful waves. Colours, textures and tones are good. Well painted and good luck!

Hi Jewell! I have noticed that a lot of people will post an artwork or photo, but they don't write reviews, I was on another sight and when someone wrote a review it was just standard that you reviewed their submission as well as a courtesy.
This is a beautiful scene, It's a perfect title as the Eagle immediately demands the eyes attention! That's what eagles do! You have rendered this Eagle well and placed it in a nice flight position and I like it's placement within this beautiful seascape. The sky is gorgeous! Wonderful show of the clouds and the way they carry the pink and yellow tones, the sun is well shown and I like the way the clouds move across it. I see three sea birds on flight in back and they call attention to the lighthouse .
Well rendered water with such a good show of its motion as the waves are rolling in .
I think this is a well thought out scene with good choice and application of the colors , there is a wonderful sense of motion here . The pink tones that dominate the sky make this a perfect entry for this contest!
