I also see the tiny little ant on the petal. That makes it very worth it for me. ð???I like the curlies as well. The colors are very nice..I like the up close view..

Hi Barbara, I think the little ant like the flower too! LOL I thought the flower was was gorgeous all by itself but the insects gave it an extra special touch. Glad you enjoyed! :o) Helvi

I love this piece. I photographed the same flower. But you took it to the ninth degree. Great 3d work. I am going to try to do 3d. I will say it has sort of a cartoon effect on the flower the more I look at it. Wonderful.

The dahlia is a huge favorite of mine and I don't believe I have ever seen this variety with the yellow center and those curled petals, the flower is gorgeous , it's easy to understand why the bee has chosen it , I see also that the little ant on the right likes this flower too.
You have photographed it well with good technical elements, and your use of mixed media transformed it into a work of art! This is a wonderful entry for the bug contest! the bee is well shown ,I love the transparent wings over its body , is details and colors are well brought out, the ant appears to be moving toward the bee.
The dahlia makes the perfect background for both the bee and the ant.

The dahlia is a huge favorite of mine and I don't believe I have ever seen this variety with the yellow center and those curled petals, the flower is gorgeous , it's easy to understand why the bee has chosen it , I see also that the little ant on the right likes this flower too.
