This is a really effective presentation of this old compass. The use of the other rusty pieces was a really great choice to enhance the age of the compass. Placing on the mirror worked really well too.. Really nice work!

Your photo has good depth and is perfect focused, exposed, and treated with mixed media. I enjoy the sharpness of detail and the beauty of light and color. The tight framing is sufficient. The compass has an excellent placement within the square frame. The composition is balanced.

It's such an incredible click- I love this compass of 1917 vintage. In fact, I had just recently crafted a compass in one of the paintings in watercolours and it is still posted on the site.
