You come up with interesting angles in your lake photography of birds. And it's always a nice feeling going through your witty captions for such kind of clicks. Thanks for sharing this lovely photograph

In comedy or for that matter any attempt at humor requires timing - and you sir have that in spades. Not only would it very difficult to find his way back, but the landing might be a little dicey as well.

Thanks I needed a good laugh ... Bob P B-))

wow those birds are just falling apart around there! is it the water? lolol..just teasing. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of these one legged headless bird parked on the branch is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

Fred,
I hate to disagree with you BUT I can see the top & back of this tree top Cormorant's head, balancing on one leg wings outspread for balance as it thinks about taking off from the tree! Amusing Composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques& sharp focus.

It really does look like a headless bird. He is a very interesting bird. His colors are really beautiful. You captured a great composition. He kind of resembles a bat the way he is posing on this branch. Thank you for sharing such fantastic photography

A clearly defined rendition of the bird, precariously balaned on a branch, features of the bird well defined to include plimage and wingspan, against a plain sky.

What an explanation, lol, making me laugh again, as this time there is no visible head only but also one missing leg with open wings and that again is an outstanding moment and perfect second
your angle and position is again excellent, a super close up with the perfect frame choice and sharpness.
A special presentation again, xoxo
