Mary,
A beautiful picture of of the White Winged Chough perched above you the light catching the sparkle in it's eye & the shine on it long sharp beak, while highlighting it's dark plumage. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Lovely blurring of the background. Lovely bird, I see one white streak down the tail feathers. Detail of the tree and bluish black bird. Looks a little like our crows in the state, minus any white. Good compostion and capture.

    Thanks so much Glena - yes they are similar to crow but different colored eye and much nicer song.

    Welcome. I understand about the song. More lovely bird, I believe too, than the crow.

An attractive bird that is very well shown. I like the detail in the plumage and the way the eye stands out against that black face. Well composed with great colors.

oh yeah he is keeping an eye on you..lol. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this black bird perch on the branch giving you the eye over the shoulder is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

always a pleasure to see your birds and other animals that of course I have never seen in our area; except the white stripe on the tail, it looks like a crow;

This is another bird that I would never see if it weren't for you! I like the red eye and the tail feather with the narrow white stripe.
Well captured looking up at this bird, it appears to be looking up at something .
Well focused, I can see the soft texture of its black feathers,
Exposure is good, color appears natural. I like the placement of the bird within the frame leaving room for it to look or move into.
Well presented, thank you for sharing! Your notes are interesting , informative and appreciated!

Interesting name for this bird, interesting feather on the tail, it has a red eye, they must be noisy when there are more of them, never seen or heard of this kind before

    Thanks very much, they have quite a nice song when together especially compared to our corella and cockatoo. :)

A good looking nature shot posted here! Your fine and central composition offers us an enjoyable look at your handsome bird. Like it's eye and beak. Textures and tones are good. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Nicely done!
