Wonderful photograph and such great story behind it.
Great colors, details, especially on the colorful Tom. I am surprised that he was not able to attract these lovelies.
Nice balanced presentation.
Thank you for sharing.

Ha!! Perfect title for this image, excellent shot of them in full display !Terrific capture, had to giggle at your description. He is rather handsome isn't he! If I was a lady turkey I would be saying "Gobble Gobble"! :))

Our would be lothario was just standing around 'Shakin-a-tail feather' when these two showed up. It was just right time, right place and a camera within arms length.

Thanks for the review and great rating, I'm glad you liked the take ... Bob

The Tom Turkey is displaying his feathers for the two ladies, this is really funny as it doesn't appear that they are even looking at him, but he's got to try ! I like their positions with the two ladies on the left.
Well captured with good focus, the image is clear, lighting is good, their colors and tones appear natural, the blue face on the Tom is interesting !
Well composed to tell the story.

Pat ... This went on for 3 days!!! In this instance both ladies rejected him. To add insult to injury the hens walked away in different directions. Undaunted by the dual rebuff our hero spotted another suitable suitor and took off at a trot - Turkey Trot that is.

Thank you so very much for your fine words and great rating. I am glad you liked the post ... Bob

We have turkeys here too, I barely ever see males though, females are usually everywhere here where I live, they can be pretty dangerous, I actually saw one fly and was surprised how far she flew, nice photo, love that blue on them

Dangerous? I nearly collided with a large female while on an evening bike ride. I was amazed first by the birds agility at avoiding me and second by how far it could fly given its body size vs wing size.

Glad you liked the shot, thanks for the great rating ... Bob

Wow! This is great! I simply love it! I have seen this a lot but was never close enough to get a real good close up.
All the hunters are able to see this sort of thing and some have invited me to join them and offered me the first shot with my camera.
I like the look of it as it reminds me of a painting.

He's still around, I see him from time to time. I must say his luck with the fairer sex has shown signs of success with a number of new hatchlings in our local rafter. I have a more recent shot of him in full strut and in his prime he is something to see.

Thank you so much for the rating, review and your laughter ... Bob
