There's a lot of humor in this renderng. We don't see her coming, but I'll take your word that she's beautiful. Did Mozart really say that? The colors you've used really are perfect for the subject matter and demand that the eye pay attention to all the subtleties here- dragging the guitar, holding the hat, the music notes and this blue jean gal, complete with skimpy halter top, long hair caught up in the halter tie, and a Kardashian rear end, walking into the sun. It certainly brings a smile, if not a chuckle.

Awe, to be young again and in such good shape to wear blue jeans and a halter top that ties n back and wear our hair long and free and throw a cowboy hat on and grab the guitar and walk toward the sun! This is awesome and so very well drawn it's got great energy and a real feeling of being young and free! Love the vibrant red tones in the background and your writing around the sun! This is a beautiful piece and a great concept Jewel. I thought it was a painting until I read your description. She has great proportions and her hips and is well placed her in step pose. Her jeans are great and I wish I still looked like that in jeans. The sun and the quote are lovely, I especially like the clouds in front of the sun. I would have given you a five, but this being a human form contest I struggle to understand the hand placement on the right side. I also think her left shoulder is cut a little sharply underneath her arm. You could fill in her flesh in a little under there or spread hair a little wider. Otherwise, I could have overlooked the other hand. I hope this is helpful. I like that you gave her skin a soft glow on account of the sun. This piece makes a great first impression. Wishing you the best in the contest.

Thank you for your honest review. Her hair kind of covers her left arm and side. I'll take another look at her hand. I did this a long time ago when I first started drawing the girls. Maybe this was a poor choice in my portfolio!

Woh! Never used alcohol ink. Is it different than regular India or drawing ink. I haven't used it in years. Wonderful rendering for the "Human Form" contest in this style. Really cute also.

I love this piece! The colours compliment each other so well and the music quote around the sun adds a powerful mood to the story. I can almost see this as being the end scene to a movie and can hear an awesome country song playing. I love your technique and I think this is amazing :)
