A well executed and comical presentation of a bird aboiut to eat a fish. Subject well lit which adds to the clarity of the bird against foliage in the water.

Fine capture and too funny- not only the bird's expression and posture, but your title! He also seems to be saying "See what I got? And... I don't share it with you."

You have indeed pictured this heron well with a fish in its beak, and it actually looks like it doesn't want to share the fish with you. The sun is falling on the bird in such a lovely way, and it is standing so well from the background.

The photo is sharp showing such clear and well defined details in the feathers of bird, and the exposure is perfect.

The photo is also nicely cropped, and the bird has got a fine placement off to the left. A truly lovely and well taken photo Fred, and with a very good DOF.

your gray herons do look pretty similar to our great blue. A great head on photo of one of yours with a nice little snake that it captured, definitely not enough to share. Well focused with good exposure and nice clear yellow eye. I especially like the markings on his neck and the tangle of branches he stands on.

Fred,
A beautiful stop action picture of the Grey Heron perched on the Tree Roots over the water with a small fish in it's beak just a milli second before it swallowe it, the sun shining from the right highlighting it's face & the fish. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A good looking nature image posted here! Your fine and classical composition offers us an enjoyable view of that hungry heron and its catch. Like the pose and feather detail. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well taken!

You have the cutest, witty titles. Creative. I don't want you, heron, to share with me once it has been in your mouth, but photographer, thanks for sharing this with us. Good capture of the heron and its catch.

Ha ha, how nicely presented is this natural photograph of this heron doing what herons do best. Great framing and focus, as usual, well done
