Wow!! The rose looks 3D, it´s popping up from the black. This perfect rose has lovely warm colors, better said , a variety of color tones beautiful captured. Good work here !

Well this is certainly orange and yellow.
Very nice contrast with the black box background - very good floral technique. Positioning within the frame is central. Nice initial visual impact. DOF is complete from fore to background.
As a work of art this piece should do quiet well in the contest. However from a camera tech point of view there is some softness in focus for the central petals. Sometimes HDR can reduce sharpness and produce grain. The degree to which the image is soft is very minor and should not affect the viability of this take for the contest ... Bob P B-))

Well this is certainly orange and yellow.

Hi Bob, Thanks for your excellent review! I rarely use the HDR vivid setting as it does produce a softer focus and grainy look but just couldn?t resist with this bloom as the overhead LED light made is seem a bit washy. I always look forward to your reviews as they help me learn!!! Hope you have a great day!

Way West - I agree, LED's light is harsh and unforgiving. Just for grins, try a D cell flashlight. The light from one of these type lights is soft and flattering towards small details ... Bob
